NEW WORK
Find Your Light

Every once in a while, a project comes along that is a perfect use case for Virtual Production.

This is one of those projects.

The creative folks at Interrupt had a concept for their client MITER Windows and Doors that focuses more on family moments than the product. From inside the same house, with the same family, we see different seasons and experiences that the light from their new windows illuminated.

My pitch was to build a set in an LED volume, and our virtual environment is the back yard.
For each season, we had the ability to control everything - weather, color, growth on trees, snow, you name it!!

What makes this so great for Virtual Production is that our practical set grounds the images, and the set extension on Unreal Engine is not the primary focus point. It's an enhancement.

The other choice I love is focusing on the family and moments, not the product.
This connects people with those moments - it engages us rather than shouting "buy this!"

For the transition moments between seasons, I wanted to bring the idea of time jumps with motion control, but handheld. So I designed the story and set around moments that could take us from Spring to Summer to Fall to Winter.

From rain in a studio to a moving shot through a wall, we captured some fantastic visuals and authentic performances.
